Economist from the Universidad de los Andes. She has an outstanding career in both the public and private sector. She worked as a senior economist at the Resident Mission in Colombia of the World Bank and was head of the Division of External Credit in the National Planning Department (DNP). In addition, she held the Headship of the Economic Studies Service of the Banco de la República, the Headship of DNP National Public Policy Evaluation System and the General Directorate of FES Leadership Foundation. She was Undersecretary of Education and Undersecretary of Finance in Bogotá D.C. Previously, she held the Financial Vice Presidency of Fiducolombia. Until December 2020 she was president of the Terpel Organization, where she held different positions. 


She performed as member of the Board of Directors of ANDI and has been recognized by Portafolio as the best executive of the year, and by Merco as the sole woman from the first 10 leaders with best reputation in Colombia. She was elected Woman to Watch by Woman to Watch International.


Currently, she is a member of the Boards of Directors of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, ETB S.A. and Terpel S.A. She belongs to the Council of Fedesarrollo, Transparencia por Colombia and WomenInConnection, which advocates for gender equality and women participation in the economic activity. She is President of the Good Governance Team of the Universidad de los Andes. 


In her distinguished career she has focused on the consumer, costumer service, sustainable, ethical and valuable regional business, contributing from them in the management of Grupo Bancolombia. 


Her academic background and deep experience in a wide range of areas, including both financial and operational, have granted her a strategic vision of business, as well as sensitivity to the customer knowledge. Her managing and social abilities both in public and private sector allow her to anticipate changes in the environment, guiding the adaptation to them. 


Her experience in company leadership contributes to the managing of human resources and culture development towards competitivity. From a proactive vision, she provides to the development of schemes that enable well-being, cohesion and culture between employees. In addition, her membership in several Boards and Committees in organizations with both national and international relevance has allowed her to remain at vanguard in the best corporate governance practices, and to contribute such vision to the Groups governance.


Professional with a good reputation and credibility, with high ethical, technical and social standards, and with conviction about the business orientation of Grupo Bancolombia towards sustainable development, well-being and equity. 


She is not involved in any cause of inability or incompatibility according to the law and the Good Governance Code, and meets the Independence criteria established in the law and the Good Governance Code.


She is not a PEP under colombian regulation.
