Luis Ignacio is a business administrator from Universidad EAFIT, specialist in economics from Universidad de los Andes and he holds an MBA in finance from Brandeis International Business School.

He holds 23 years of experience inside Grupo Bancolombia. He started in Corfinsura as an apprentice, then as institutional broker and ended as a public debt trader. Subsequently he entered in Banca de Inversión as a Corporate Finance Project Manager, and then as Senior Manager; in 2013 he became the Director of Infraestructure and Real Estate, and in 2015 he assumed the Capital Market Structuring Vice-Presidency.

He was promoted in Bancolombia as the Vice-President of Real Estate and Builds, wich he been developing since 2018, until he was appointed as Banca de Inversión Chief Executive Officer in 2023.
